In a world of constant change, being on home soil is both grounding and inspiring; I paint to create an outlet of emotions connected to the land where we live and grow.

I am a spirited artist who explores various media; painting is something I always come back to; I love to express my artworks through colour and movement, with every brushstroke having a place and somewhat connection.

After completing a Fine Arts Degree at RMIT in the early nineties, I worked full-time in retail. I then decided to do a Graduate Diploma in Education and start a career in Primary Visual Art teaching. This has been a massive part of my life, children creating and learning about art gives me a sense of satisfaction and joy. Being an artist has given me so much, and I am grateful to be a part of the art community; it feels pleasing to pass that passion and practice to the next generation through teaching.

Growing up on the Mornington Peninsula on Boon Wurrung/Bunurong country, a constant source of inspiration surrounds me. Using the natural environment of home and travelling, I am inspired by the relationship between one's emotions and their natural surroundings, with a connection to the land being represented through my artwork.

Working alongside the natural environment has allowed me to have a love affair with my surroundings. Each new day brings a new perception of that golden hour filled with warm, glowing light accompanied by the constant change of colours. Each painting created expresses what I feel or something I have seen or something that might even jog a memory from the past.
